LPM APDM Supports Future Acquisition Officer's Goals
On 12 October 2016, Woodbridge Senior High School (Woodbridge, VA) Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Cadet (CDT) Karen Ordonez shadowed Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) Assistant Product Manager (APdM) CPT Maureen Minder to learn more about the role Army Acquisition Officers play in supporting Soldiers worldwide.
CPT Minder volunteers her time to support the high school’s JROTC program and CDT Ordonez recently expressed her interest in joining the Acquisition Corps and serving the Army in a similar role as CPT Minder. During their visit, CPT Minder took CDT Ordonez to the Pentagon to speak with several LMP partners and leaders, where she learned more about the LMP and its role in supporting the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) mission. CDT Ordonez was even able to observe CPT Minder briefing leadership on the status of the LMP Total Package Fielding effort.
CDT Ordonez is currently a high school senior who serves as the Logistics Officer for her JROTC program. Her goal is to attend the University of Virginia where she intends to major in political science and join the ROTC program.
With her interest and enthusiasm, along with support from people like CPT Minder, we wish CDT Ordonez all the best as she works to achieve her goals!
